On Friday, February 12, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on State Highway 75 between Glendale Road and Gannett Road, south of Bellevue, Idaho.
As a result of the crash, six people were transported to the hospital.
Crash scene investigation determined that a 2011 Kia Sorrento driven by Paige C. Bruce, age 27 of Hailey, Idaho, with an adult passenger and two minor children had stopped in the southbound traffic lane waiting for northbound traffic to clear to turn into a driveway. A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado truck, driven by Tommy Lee Green, age 39 of Twin Falls, Idaho with a single passenger came to a stop behind Bruce. A 2016 Isuzu truck, driven by James S. Payne, age 20 of Nampa, Idaho with a single passenger was unable to stop and collided with Green’s Silverado pushing it into Bruce’s Sorrento. All three vehicles had significant damage.
The four occupants of the Kia Sorrento and the two occupants of the Isuzu truck were all transported to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center by three ground ambulances for medical evaluation. No major injuries were reported. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The Bellevue Marshal’s Office assisted the Blaine County Sheriff in the investigation. Payne was issued a citation for following too closely, I.C. 49-638.
