2020 brought many unexpected changes to all of our lives. Yet despite the changes, we would like to take a moment to let our citizens know how the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office continued to serve our community last year.
Our patrol and detention teams performed their duties 24/7 even during shelter-in-place periods, although many of our administrative functions were shut down for at least three months. Our annual statistics reflect some of the modifications we had to make to accommodate public health orders, yet our staff admirably continued to serve, protect, and fulfill our legal mandates. We are proud to report that to date our Detention Center has not had one positive case of Inmate COVID-19.
