On June 25, 2020 at approximately 4:19 PM deputies from the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the junction of US Highway 20 and State Highway 75 for a report of a possible domestic battery.
A witness reported seeing a grey Toyota Sienna with Oregon license plates driving erratically and that a possible battery occurred while the vehicle was moving. The vehicle then pulled over near the junction.
After deputies conducted an investigation, the male driver, Steven L. Taylor, age 45, of Wendell, Idaho was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, a Felony, pursuant to Idaho Code 37-2732 (c) (1), Possession of Marijuana pursuant to Idaho Code 37-2732 (c) (3) and Possession of Paraphernalia pursuant to Idaho Code 37-2732A. Taylor was also issued a citation and charged with misdemeanor Battery pursuant to Idaho Code 18-903.
Taylor was released from the Blaine County Detention Center the following day after posting bond.
