On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a UTV vehicle crash east of Bellevue, Idaho in Muldoon Canyon.
The driver Berta Alicia Tejeda-Chacon, age 33 of Bellevue, and two juvenile female passengers were riding in the white 2014 Polaris two-seat Razor. The crash occurred approximately 3.4 miles east of the end of the payment and the intersection of Bay Horse Road.
The Crash investigation determined the Razor was traveling westbound on Muldoon Canyon Road. After negotiating a left-hand corner, the driver lost control, overcorrected twice causing the Razor to impact the hill on the north side of the road and roll one and a quarter-time back into the roadway, coming to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Following the crash, the Razor was rolled back on the wheels by the occupants, who then drove it back to their residence in Bellevue prior to notifying authorities and going to the hospital.
The driver Berta A. Tejeda-Chacon reported not wearing her seatbelt or a helmet and had moderate injuries. One of the juvenile passengers reported wearing a seatbelt but no helmet and had minor scrapes and bruises. The second juvenile passenger reported not wearing a seatbelt or helmet and was ejected as the razor rolled in the roadway. The second juvenile passenger had minor injuries. The Polaris Razor received moderate damages and was driven from the scene of the crash.
