ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Fund Request
On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law, establishing the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund and Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. Combined, these make up the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds “SLFRF,” oftentimes referred to in short as the “ARPA” funds. This program is intended to provide support to State, territorial, local and Tribal governments in responding to the economic and public health impacts of COVID-19 and in their efforts to contain impacts on their communities, residents, and businesses.
Blaine County expects to receive nearly $4.5 million in SLFRF funding dispersed between 2021 and 2022, which must be spent by 2026. In an effort to process ARPA – SLFRF funding requests, the Blaine County Board of County Commissioners have created this process for parties to submit their requests for funding from Blaine County.
How to Apply
Please submit your ARPA – SLFRF Funding Request by completing the below form, indicating which eligible category best describes your project. You must attach a clear project description (500 words or less) and draft project budget (1 page max).
Your request will be reviewed initially by the County Administrator and County Clerk, who may request additional information. If the project is deemed eligible, the project may be presented to the Board of County Commissioners during a regular meeting. At that time, the Board may direct staff to prepare a contract with the applicant. Any contract will be scheduled for a vote during a subsequent regular meeting.
Please Note: Your submission of this form does not guarantee funding approval. Funding is approved only by an affirmative vote of the Blaine County Board of Commissioners during a regular public meeting. Please review carefully the guidance provided by the US Department of Treasury and other official sources (found in Helpful Links) in order to determine project eligibility. Blaine County staff are unable to provide assistance in developing project proposals.
