Control Operator inside the Detention Center: 40 hrs/wk Starting $16.01 per hour ($33,300 annually). Rotating schedule includes days, nights, and weekends. Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and have excellent communication skills. Control Operator is an entry level non-certified detention position whose primary responsibility is to assist the safety, security and movement of staff and incarcerated public offenders in the Blaine County Detention Center. Applicants must pass typing test, background investigation, and oral interviews. Good Character and clean background required. Our staff includes 66 professional, sworn men and women dedicated to the concepts of personal excellence, continuous improvement, teamwork, and service to our community. In our Patrol Division deputies may work as traffic patrol, investigations, on marine patrol, snowmobile patrol, or search and rescue. In our Jail Division deputies may work performing duties in our detention facility, on prisoner transport, or as a court bailiff. We also employ a civil processing division, drivers licensing desk, records division and other administrative office staff.
